Welcome to Katie Cooper and Steve Drew

Katie Cooper, our new Clerk joins us from Fontmell Magna. She is fully invested in our community as a parishioner herself and is already fast learning the ropes of a Parish Council Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer. Katie is the partner of well known parishioner and editor of the extremely important and well loved Monthly Gossip Tree Newsletter, Graham Eames. Katie has a background as a PA, largely in the NHS and offers great administration and communications skills as well as being extremely organised and proactive. 

Steve Drew joins us from the new Spring Meadows development since Oct 2023 as he takes on the remit of planning alongside Cllr Scott Walby until she leaves us at the end of July 2024. Steve is keen to get stuck into this important role and offer his time putting the thoughts of the Parish forward to to Dorset Council on planning applications. Steve brings with him skills in project management, communication, technical expertise, problem-solving, leadership and attention to detail, He comes from a background in construction and as such has a good level of understanding of planning applications. 

As always there are vacancies available within the Parish Council and if being on the council isn't for you we are always happy to hear from anyone who wants to offer their time as a supporting role, especially in the two busiest areas of council, planning and highways. 

We also have a vacancy for footpaths which would be perfect for any walking enthusiasts within the Parish who have vested interest in this area.
