A BIG Thank you!

Villagers joined together under gazebos for their picnics and then enjoyed some wonderful music courtesy of the Pipe band from Clayesmore School. Cream Teas were served throughout the afternoon and the announcement of the raffle winners ended the day on a fun note for everyone. I want to say a huge thanks firstly to Jonathan Pinder for letting the village have use of Springhead for the day and all his hard work. Roy Foster who coordinated the bunting and the wonderful team that came along and helped. Thanks also need to go to Sian and the tea gang and crafting crew,  St Andrews School who provided the fantastic artwork, Clayesmore School for the Pipe Band and the group of volunteers who turned up to help in the afternoon, and all the volunteers who donated raffle prizes, cakes and their time to help run things - thank you we could not have put on the event without you all. Finally a big thank you to everyone who braced the rain to come and just enjoy the day.
We also raised some vital funds on the day for the village. £205 was raised from the teas and the money will go to support the warm hub and pop up cafes, £57 was raised from the sale of plants and will go to the Friendship garden for more plants and materials. The raffle raised £180 and will go towards the cost of the new defibrillator. Thank you to everyone for their support.
We do have some raffle prizes for people who were not there when the raffle was drawn, I will be calling you all this week and arranging to get them to you.
Thank you again!
Hannah.
